Brighton Public Library

Home Delivery Service

Thank-you to our Assistant Librarian, Kim, for this post!

For many people, getting to the library is a simple part of everyday life. But for others, health concerns or mobility issues can make it difficult (or even impossible) to visit in person; that’s what drove us to create the Home Delivery Service!

Our Library’s mission is to “connect our community to diverse collections and opportunities to spark exploration and enjoyment,” and by offering this Service we fulfill our mission of providing everyone with equal access to all of our resources.

How It Works:

If you are unable to visit the library (whether on a permanent or temporary basis), you can sign up for our Home Delivery Service online or by phone. Patrons must live in the Municipality of Brighton and have a Brighton Public Library card in good standing to receive this Service.

One you’re registered for Home Delivery, your library staff are happy to select materials for you based on your preferences, or you can request specific titles for delivery. Once your items are ready, our fantastic community volunteers will bring them to your door.

This new part of the Library is more than just a service, it’s a connection for those who might otherwise miss out on the joys of reading and discovery!
