We are a Certified Homeschool-Friendly Library. Our staff have been trained by an experienced homeschooling coach to better understand:

  • The nature of home-based learning in Canada
  • The types of services that support learning at home
  • Common programs and curriculums used by homeschoolers
  • How our resources can be best used for learning at home

Services for Homeschoolers

  • Free Wifi, computer access, and scanning to email
  • Reduced printing costs for homeschoolers (10 cents/pg) available by sending requests via our online form
  • InterLibrary Loan Service: Access items from libraries across Ontario through the Interlibrary Loan website

Enjoy special events tailored to homeschoolers! We host an annual science fair, art show, and more. Explore upcoming events on our Events page – use the Event Category filters to select “Homeschooler Events”.

Learning at Home Reading List

This staff-created list includes books about homeschooling, early literacy and more. Educational DVDs, French items and Accessible Readers are among our many resources.

Whether you are a long-term homeschooler, using remote learning, or just looking to develop a learning-positive home, we compile titles that can help parents make learning fun and meaningful for all ages.

Our Children’s Librarian
