How to Get a Library Card
For Residents
If you are a resident of the Municipality of Brighton, you are entitled to a Library card! You can complete the registration form below or visit one of our branches to get signed up.
When you use the online form below, we will create your card then give you a call when it’s ready for pickup. You must present identification that includes your name and current address to receive your card.
Children up to and including the age of 15 must have a parent or guardian sign the back of their card, acknowledging that they are responsible for damaged or lost items checked out on their child’s card.
For Non-Residents
Library memberships may be purchased by Non-Residents:
- Annual Non-Resident Single Membership – $20.00
- Six Month Non-Resident Membership – $10.00
There isn’t an online registration option for non-residents at this time. Visit one of our branches or give us a call at 613-475-2511.

Lost Library Card?
Report a lost or stolen library card immediately. Replacement cards are available for a $1.00 charge.
