As the weather warms up, more people are looking for opportunities to explore our Provincial Parks! We want to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the outdoors and you can sign out an Ontario Parks Pass with your library card. These passes admit one vehicle into an Ontario Park (not just Presqu’ile!), but you do still need to make a reservation with the park to get in on the day of your choosing – just like any annual pass holder.

Brightonians LOVE the Parks passes, and they are almost always in use if not on hold for the next person. That’s why we recommend placing a hold on a pass if you think you will want to use one this summer. You can do that through your online account, and we will call you when a pass is ready for you to pick up. You can keep the pass for seven days and use it at any participating Ontario Park, across the province. Because these passes are so popular, they are not usually available to renew after your seven days – the next person wants a turn!
Whether you visit an Ontario Park, walk a local trail or wander through Proctor Park, we can also help enhance your experience with Birding Kits for adults and kids. Kits include binoculars, a guide for identifying birds and a community log book where we’re keeping track of what we’ve seen on our travels. You can place holds on our kits through your online account.
Tell us about your outdoor adventures this summer! We’d love to share what Brightonians get up to, with help from their library.
