Did you know you can borrow board games and puzzles at the library? There are a variety of games in the collection for all ages and game types; from classics like Double Trouble, to modern such as Cards Against Humanity, and even library themed with Really Loud Librarians. Board games can be played in the library, or borrowed like books for 3 weeks. When you return them, please bring them to the Main Desk (as they are too big for the book drop!).
The puzzle collection is a “take a puzzle, share a puzzle” free puzzle exchange. Because of this, anyone may take a puzzle, and since puzzles do not have a due date, you can take your time enjoying the puzzle. Anyone may also bring a puzzle to share. The puzzles and games collection can be found beside the magazines. You can also search for “board games” in the library catalogue.
So why do we have board games and puzzles at the library? These are another format for people to learn new things, engage in stories, and to enjoy for fun, just like books! We want to make sure everyone that walks in a library can find something they like, are interested in, or would want to borrow. Whether it’s a PA day, having guests over or you want to try something different, board games and puzzles are a great option to encourage teamwork, problem solving, provide entertainment and bring people together.
