SUMMARY:Creative Writing for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Led by award-winning local author Linda Rawlings\, this series is perfect for people who want to spark their creative side and begin a writing practice. No prior experience with creative writing is required.  \nThis three-week program will run on Wednesdays (March 25th\, April 1st and April 8th) from 3:00-5:00pm. As each week builds on a new skill\, it is best to attend each week to get the most out of this program. All materials are provided\, but you’re welcome to bring any writing utensils that you prefer (e.g. notebooks and favourite pens!).  \nRegistration is required\, as spaces are limited.  \nLearn more about our instructor\, Linda: \nLinda Rawlings received her Certificate in Continuing Studies in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto in 2009. Since moving to Brighton in 2014\, she has won two awards in short story competitions. Her love of reading ensures that there are always two or three books within her reach.

Students can share what they’ve learned in science and nature studies in any way that is meaningful for them; we’d love to see collections\, experiments or creative projects that demonstrate their discoveries. This is also a great opportunity for kids to develop presentation skills as visitors drop by their displays and ask questions.
