SUMMARY:Stories in Mental Health
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to welcome the Psychotherapy & Healing Hub for this special presentation: \nEvery day\, our minds create stories — about who we are\, what’s possible\, and where we belong. Some of these stories help us grow. Others hold us back. \nJoin Candice Thompson\, a Registered Psychotherapist (Q) for an insightful and interactive talk exploring how our inner narratives shape our emotions and relationships — and how we can begin rewriting them with compassion and purpose. \nDrawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy\, this session will explore: How to notice and name unhelpful stories; the “drop the rope” metaphor for letting go of inner struggles; understanding the “narrator” within; writing new stories grounded in your values. \nParticipants are welcome to stay after the talk to ask questions or chat with Candice one-on-one. \nNo registration required.
